BNP urges govt to resolve water, gas and power crises

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir yesterday demanded of the government to resolve the ongoing acute crises of water, gas and electricity immediately.
"If the government fails to meet the demands for water, gas and power, we will go for a tough movement against it to materialise our demands," he said addressing a protest rally at Muktangon in the city.
Jatiyatabadi Swetchchha Sebak Dal, a volunteers' wing of BNP organised the programme demanding uninterrupted supply of water, gas and power.
Mirza Alamgir said that by filing false cases against the opposition leaders and workers, the ruling party would not be able to stop them from raising their voice against its "misrule and misdeeds".............
