The caretaker government has decided to announce 27 businessmen and industrialists as Commercial Important Persons (CIP) including one woman. Twenty-two of them are businessmen and five are industrialists. A special assistant to the chief adviser has been included in the CIP list.
The proposed CIPs include Women Entrepreneur Association President Nasreen Awal Mintoo, FBCCI President Annisul Huq, BCI Acting President MA Shahid, FICC & I President Waliur Rahman Bhuiyan, CCCI President Saifuzzaman Choudhury, NASIB President Mirza Nurul Gani, BTB Chairman Abdul Hye Sarker, Singer Bangladesh MD and Special Assistant to Chief Adviser Mahbub Jamil, Deshbandhu Sugar Mills Chairman Golam Mostafa, Managing Director of Berger Paints Mashih Ul Karim, Bangladesh Steel Re-rolling Mills MD Ali Hossain Abar Ali, Epilion Group Executive Director Reaz Uddin Al-Mamun, Jalal Ahmed Spinning Mills' M Shahjahan, FS Sweaters MD Golam Faruque, Argiculture Marketing Co Director Ahsan Khan Choudhury, Pran Fruits' General Amjad Khan Choudhury, BRB Polymer MD Mojibar Rahman, Amin Group Durector Eng md Nurul Haque, K Metal Industries MD Meshbah Rahman, MP Sweaters MD Meraj Hossain, ABM Garments MD Mahmudur Rahman, Tusuka Fashions Chairman Arshad Jamal.
Five persons to get the status for investing one million dollar in bonds include Syed AK Anwaruzzaman, Golam Mostama, AKM Mizanur Rahman, Dr Kazi Giasuddin and Nurul Haque.
